[BIO] Alessandro Federico-Veca was born in Sicily in 1988. Architect, creative director and eclectic artist ranging from visual arts, to poetry, urban photography, up to songwriting music. In 2012 he founded the online illustrated satire magazine La Vignetta Blog; as a cartoonist he has won several national competitions. He graduated in 2014 with full marks from the Faculty of Architecture in Syracuse. He collaborated with Renzo Piano's G124 Group for the recovery of the Librino suburb in Catania. In 2017 he opened his online store of contemporary art. In 2018 he obtained the II level Master in Urban Regeneration and Social Innovation at the IUAV University of Venice with full marks. In 2021 he was appointed Tutor at the 24Ore Business School and obtained the Executive Master in Digital Marketing. Cultural activist and sustainability ambassador, he is the curator of the Sustainability is not a Spot * project, a partner event of the EU Green Week and with the patronage of Altaroma on the sustainability of the fashion industry. For several years he has lived in Milan where he worked first as an artistic director at a creative agency and then independently, founding the multi-brand creative company AFV Group together with his brother.

Activism, sustainability and social commitment
Over the years I have developed a deep sensitivity towards social and environmental issues that have led me, in the course of my human and professional growth, to conceive and support various beneficial and socially engaged projects, as well as to direct part of my artistic production towards these topics. Sustainability, environmentalism and animalism, equity and civil rights, recovery of the suburbs and urban regeneration are just some of the many issues I face every day. My path of social activism already begins in high school where with a satirical illustration on the theme of urban pollution I win the "Oscar della Vignetta" by Spotornocomics; with another cartoon I will win the first UNAAPI prize on the protection of bees, which will take me to Lecce to speak at the annual congress of Italian beekeepers, also becoming testimonial of the Beelife digital campaign. Graduated in Architecture thanks to an experimental thesis on the sustainable development of Sicilian urban suburbs, I will be invited by the G124 group of Renzo Piano to collaborate in the "BAL-Buone Actions for Librino" project for the recovery of the suburbs of Catania where I will design and build the street game " Tap Run! ”, Which became the symbol of the initiative and ended up in the front pages of Italian newspapers and within the Venice Architecture Biennale. Also interested in the issue of migrants, I am invited by the OAPPCCT to participate in the debate "Mediterranean - the middle sea" by presiding over a personal exhibition entitled "Grand Hotel Mediterraneo". I am also the creator and curator of the "Sustainability is not a Spot *" project, on the theme of the sustainability of the fashion industry, which involved numerous institutions (Camera della Moda di Milano, Greenpeace, Mani Tese, CNA Torino etc.), brands and designers engaged in the process of sustainable transformation of fashion. The project was selected as a partner event of the European Greenweek of 2021 entitled "Zero Pollution Ambition" and sponsored by Altaroma during the Roman fashion week within the "Digital Runaway" schedule. I collaborate with the Veracura non-profit trust for the promotion of the "Animal Social Club" project, on the theme of safeguarding animals victims of violence. With my company I recently became a partner and promoter of the non-profit Hama Foundation which deals with education and health in Cameroon.
